Babar Azam has been named the top scorer in this season of Pakistan Super League (PSL). He registered 40-plus scores in seven of his 11 innings, which also included a record 115-ball 65 against Quetta Gladiators.

Riley Rossouw was the No. 3 star for the Sultans. He scored the then fastest PSL century in 41 balls against Peshawar and led his team to the most successful run in PSL history. No one has scored more runs in this position in the tournament.

Kohler-Cudmore was the eighth highest run scorer in PSL 2023 and the highest run scorer at No. 4. In fact, he scored 73 runs less than Kohler, the next highest scorer in the tournament at 4th place. Azam Khan had a great season with the bat, scoring 282 runs at a strike rate of 161.14. He regularly came in at No. 5 and 6 and played big knocks, most notably a 42-ball 97 against Quetta Gladiators after coming in 43-3. He overtook Muhammad Rizwan as our wicket-keeper of the tournament thanks to his faster scoring rate and middle-order batting, making way for the impressive Mohammad Haris at the top.

Imad Wasim had a breakthrough season with the bat, scoring 404 runs at an average of 134.66. He was struck out three times in just 10 innings. His previous highest total in a PSL season was 154 runs in PSL 2020. Add 9 runs to go along with the 400+ runs and he’ll be a solid #6 in the team of the tournament.

Sikandar Raza – Lahore Qalandars 223 runs @ 37.16, HS: 71*, SR: 179.83; 4 wickets @ 36.5, BBI: 2-6, Eco: 9.22

Sikandar Raza has been a consistently useful contributor with the bat this PSL season, his highest score being 71* at No.7 as his team went 45-5. He also picked four wickets with the ball.

Shaheen Afridi – Lahore Qalandars 133 runs @ 26.60, HS: 52, SR: 168.35; 19 wickets @ 9.15pm, BBI: 5-40, Echo: 9.13am

Shaheen Afridi led Lahore Qalandars to their second consecutive PSL title and was impressive with the ball, picking up 19 wickets at an average of 21.15. He also promoted himself with the bat on several occasions, giving the world a glimpse of the all-rounder Shaheen Afridi.

It’s rare that Rashid Khan misses a T20 tournament. He was the best spinner in what was not a productive season for the bowlers. In fact, Rashid was the only spinner to pick more than 15 wickets in this PSL season and makes the Team of the Tournament the only specialist spinner.

Ihsanullah was the easy prey of the season, bowling brilliance, looking to protect the batsmen. He ended the season as the second-highest wicket-taker with 22 wickets, including a best of 5-12 against Quetta Gladiators in Sultans’ second match of the season.
