The five-team tournament, which was organized by Maharashtra Road Safety Cell in association with PMG (Professional Management Group) last year, had to be canceled due to the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Instead of starting over, the organizers decided to continue with the previous season. This means that India, Sri Lanka and West Indies will still play three matches in the league stage. Although South Africa has four games left, other young players who will enter England and Bangladesh can play up to five games.

It is worth mentioning that England and Bangladesh replaced Australia, who had to withdraw from participation due to travel restrictions. The presence of fewer teams means that the title has become a six-team competition.

Unlike last year’s venues in Mumbai and Pune, all matches for the upcoming season will be played at the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Cricket Stadium in Raipur.
