Women’s Cricket World Cup T22 in Sahedul – The fixtures for the first ICC Women’s U19 World Cup in T20 have been announced. The tournament takes place from the 14th-29th. January 2023 in South Africa.
16 teams participate in the competition, making it one of the biggest ICC events ever, with 41 matches played over 15 days.

Qualification for the event began in June 2022, with four of the spots decided by regional qualifiers and the last remaining spot going to the United States because the side is the only Associate nation qualified to compete under the ICC’s Event Pathway Participation Criteria in the Americas region.
The 16 teams consisting of 11 full ICC members and five associate teams have been divided into four groups. The top three teams from each group advance to the Super Six League stage, where teams from Group A play Group D and Group B competes against Group C.
Indonesia and Rwanda are two first-timers in an ICC World Cup event. While Indonesia beat Papua New Guinea to win the East Asia-Pacific Group in July, Rwanda became the last team to qualify for the event after beating Tanzania on Monday 12 September.
Four matches will take place each day with Australia v Bangladesh on the opening day, followed by South Africa hosting India at the Main Oval at Willowmoore Park in Benoni, while the United Arab Emirates face Scotland, followed by Sri Lanka v USA at the B Oval.

Tickets for a full day of fun and international cricket action start at $45* for a family of five.
There are just 200 days until the WHITE FERNS open the tournament on 4 March 2022 at Tauranga’s beautiful Bay Oval – let’s show them a packed stadium and New Zealanders enjoying the World Cup up close.
Companies interested in supporting women’s sport will be able to purchase CWC22 corporate hotel packages from 6 September.

The Cantabrians will also have the chance to catch all eight competing teams in action when the region hosts the CWC22 warm-up week from 27 February to 2 March 2022.
Each team plays two warm-up matches over four days at Bert Sutcliffe Oval, Lincoln Green and Rangiora Oval, where fans can attend for free.
The official pre-tournament media day, captain’s press conference and all team welcome will also be held in Christchurch.
Canterbury’s hosting of the CWC22 warm-up week matches will bring significant economic value to the region – estimated at $4.2 million.
