The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 season is about to begin, the tournament will begin with the league phase which will be held from 31st March 2023 to 21st May 2023.
The 16th season of IPL will see ten teams battle it out in the league stage in a home-and-away double round-robin format, with the top four qualifying for the play-offs – the eliminator, two qualifiers and the final.
Unlike the previous three editions that were affected by the COVID pandemic, IPL 2023 will return to the original home-and-away format, with all ten teams playing their home matches in their home cities.

A total of 74 matches will be held in 12 venues. The league phase ends on May 21, while the eliminator, qualifiers and finals end on May 28.
Ipl 2023 Teams Head Coach And Support Staff For All 10 Teams
All ten teams have finalized their squads for the IPL Auction 2023 in December 2022. Most of the franchises have also announced their captains except for Sunrisers Hyderabad who named Aiden Markram as their captain.
Meanwhile, Delhi Capitals suffered a blow when star player and captain Rishabh Pant suffered an accident in late December 2022, sidelining him indefinitely. So DC appointed David Warner as captain and Akshar Patel as his deputy.
Like captains, many franchises have announced their coaching and backroom staff for the upcoming edition of the cash-rich league. Punjab Kings will get a new face in both team management and team coaching.
Kolkata Knight Riders also brought in a new coach after Brendon McCullum’s move to the England Test team. KKR also had to change their captain. Mahendra Singh Dhoni starts another season as the captain of Chennai Super Kings.
