Ahead of India’s five-match Test series, former Indian cricketer Reetinder Singh Sodhi described India’s opener as the best batsman in the world and said he could snatch a match from his opponents.

“A lot depends on Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli and Cheteshwar Pujara. How these three batsmen will shape up in the upcoming series, we all know that Rohit Sharma is the best batsman in the world in terms of his talent,” Sodhi told India News.
“If we talk about the past, certainly he struggled in Test cricket, but now he has imprinted his authority in Test cricket. He is a special player as an opener. When he is playing he can take the match away from the opponent in an instant,” he added.
