The bottom four teams will advance to the 2022 Men’s Cricket World Cup Qualifiers play-off – the second leg of the global qualifiers – and will be joined by the winner of Challenge Leagues A and B. The top two teams from the playoffs will boost their hopes of maintaining India’s 2023 participation.
For the first time in the history of cricket, 20 teams will have ODI status, providing more opportunities for ODI cricket in both ICC events and member-organised bilateral cricket.
