The 2023 edition of the ICC Men’s ODI World Cup is set to begin in less than four months. This year, for the first time in 48 years, the ODI World Cup will be held entirely in India. India, the current powerhouse of world cricket, has co-hosted the Men’s 50 World Cup on three previous occasions (1987, 1996 and 2011), but has never hosted the entire tournament single-handedly. A total of 10 teams will travel to India this year to participate in the multi-national event to be played at various venues.

According to reports, the 13th edition of the ODI World Cup will begin on October 5 with a clash between the finalists of the last two editions, England and New Zealand, and the final is scheduled to be held on November 19 at the Modi’s Narendra Stadium in Ahmedabad. Eight teams have already secured direct qualification, while eight teams are still battling it out in the World Cup qualifiers for the remaining two spots.

India-Pakistan ODI World Cup 2023 match to be held at Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad on October 15 – Report

In this year’s ODI World Cup, Pakistan’s participation was still under tension as they mulled over the decision to go to India. There are reports that the 1992 World Cup winner may refuse to travel due to bilateral ties between the two countries and India’s refusal to travel to Pakistan for the 2023 Asian Cup, which will be played in a hybrid model this year.

Must Get One Fact Loud And Clear…: R Ashwin Has His Say On Jonny Bairstow Dismissal Amid Spirit Of Cricket Debate

Well, a lot is to come out on this topic in the coming days and months but if the opinion of Pakistan cricketer Javed Miandad is to be followed then the man in green should refuse to tour India for the ODI World Cup. According to him, Pakistani cricket is better than India, and India can go to hell if they don’t want to come to Pakistan.

Sabse pahle mein inkara kar doo aur jab tak India hamare pas nahi aati hame nahi jaana chahiye. India should come and play cricket in Pakistan. Pahale yahi hota tha ki ek sal wo ate sal hum. Par jis tarike se unka behavior hai… To Bharat jab tak hamare pas nahi ata aur nahi khelta, hame koi jururat nahi hai. We are better than them. Our cricket is very high and awesome. Hum unki fikar nahi hai. No come, I say hoon ki bol mein jao nahi ate to. What difference do we make? We have enough money, land and cricketers. Har cricketer jo hai, duniya mein uska naam hai. I didn’t trust this thing, Jab tak wo nahi ate.. We always came hand in hand, talked, made friends like we used to do before….

Pakistan had threatened India that it would not tour India for the 2023 ODI World Cup if India did not tour Pakistan for the 2023 Asian Cup, but after their hybrid model was accepted, a dark cloud hung over Pakistan’s participation. And they are likely to come to India to play ODI World Cup games.

Surya, or SKY as he is fondly called by the fans, has started the 2022 World Cup with 225 runs in five matches including three fifties at an astonishing strike rate of 193.97.

The 32-year-old late entrant to international cricket makes batting surprisingly easy even in the most difficult conditions, as India did against South Africa in Perth last week. Surya scored 68 off 40 balls, while other Indian batsmen struggled.

“I am very happy for Surya. I think he has come a long way,” de Villiers told the Press Trust of India.

When asked if this is the right time to draw comparisons with Surya, one of the most versatile batsmen in the game, de Villiers said: “Yes. The only thing he has to focus on is consistency. He has to do this for five. 10 years and
