Getting those home games again would be a big thing – although there are still a few.
I’ve experienced it myself because I toured there with England straight after The Ashes in 2005. It’s a very passionate place and the atmosphere at the ground can be deafening, especially in Karachi.
I’m sure once we get there the locals will want Pakistan to win, but they’ll see the bigger picture and get behind us too.

If the teams are going to visit there again, it is important that their supporters are safe to travel there too.
Time is limited and security will be high, so unfortunately we can’t do the touristy things I did when I went there 12 years ago, and we understand that. We have a ‘head of state’ guard, which I was involved with in India after the Mumbai attacks and also in Bangladesh last year.

For us as players, we are part of that too and we are the people who want to go out there and play. I’m sure Andy will see this as a big step for Pakistan cricket, especially with his brother Grant working as their batting coach.
