The first ever encounter between India and Pakistan in the history of the T20 World Cup – in the inaugural edition of the tournament – was a fierce battle as the match went down to the wire. Robin Uthappa’s half century, and M.S. Important contributions from Dhoni and Irfan Pathan helped India post a total of 141/9.
Pakistan would come up with a chance to chase down the target, but the Indian bowlers did well to take early wickets. Although Misbah-ul-Haq threatened to take the match away from India with a fifty, India held their nerve and the match ended in a draw. But India was declared the winner, a system used in the first few days to break the tie in the format.
India and Pakistan locked horns in the same edition, this time in the final, and it was a spectacular spectacle as the rivals once again battled it out in the final. Gautam Gambhir played a brilliant 75 at the top of the order and another fine cameo from Rohit Sharma’s 30 not out helped India set a tough target of 158 for Pakistan.

Imran Nazir opened the scoring for Pakistan, scoring 33 off 14 deliveries. But in the end, the regular fall of wickets did not help Pakistan’s cause. Misbah-ul-Haq leads the match till the end, Pakistan need 13 runs to win, India need a ticket. The pressure was completely back on India when Joginder Sharma hit a six in the last over but mistimed the ball of the next delivery to catch Sreesanth easily at short leg. With this wicket, they defeated Pakistan and India became T20 World Cup champions.
India and Pakistan met again in the group stage of the 2012 edition. This time it was a one-sided encounter as Pakistan were bowled out for 128 as Lakshmipathy Balaji claimed bowling figures of 3/22. Ravichandran Ashwin and Yuvraj Singh also bowled well as they took two wickets each. Although India lost an early wicket in the form of Gautam Gambhir, Virat Kohli brought them back safely with an unbeaten 78 off 61 deliveries. India won the match by eight wickets with 18 to spare.
The group stage contest of the 2014 edition was another one-sided affair. India restricted Pakistan’s total to 130/7. Amit Mishra bowled brilliantly as he pummeled the Pakistanis with his wrists, registering figures of 2/22 in his four overs. India once again achieved a comfortable target as Kohli and Suresh Raina remained unbeaten on 36 and 35 respectively. Shikhar Dhan and Rohit Sharma also made valuable contributions of 30 and 24 at the top of the order as India won by seven wickets in nine overs.

After rain delayed the start of the match, the Indian team won once again. Pakistan scored a total of 118/5 in their over as the Indian bowlers played short lines and long lengths throughout the innings. India lost both openers in reply, but Virat Kohli stepped up once again as he remained unbeaten on 55 deliveries to take India to six wickets with 13 balls to spare.

Pakistan finally achieved victory over India in the T20 World Cup as they beat their arch-rivals by 10 runs in the group stage in Dubai. But Pakistan openers Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan excelled as they remained unbeaten on 68 and 79 with 13 balls to spare.

In the 2020-21 season, the PCB organized 220 matches across nine tournaments, becoming the only cricket board to offer a full schedule.
Full Schedule Of Series Between Pakistan And New Zealand 2021
The 2021-22 season will feature domestic competitions alongside internationals from New Zealand, England, West Indies and Australia and the HBL Pakistan Super League from September 2021 to March 2022.
The 2021-22 national matches do not include the CCA tournament matches which start on July 16th and end on August 22nd and the CCA U19 tournament which starts on September 1st. Both tournaments are designed to give you the opportunity to qualify for the Cricket Association squad for the senior and road competitions in the 2021-22 PCB season.
Additional domestic regional matches have been added to the cricket schedule, with the PCB allowing six Cricket Associations to field both sides in the U16 and U19 tournaments.

Therefore, 12 teams will participate in the 62-match U19 three-day tournament and one-day cup at Gujranwala, Islamabad, Muridke, Rawalpindi and Sialkot from November 3 to November 12.

Another 12 teams will compete in 31 matches from March 8 to March 19, 2022 in the U16 Cup, in league competition with Rawalpindi.
The U13 One Day National Cup will return to the national circuit after being lost last year due to the Covid-19 pandemic. This league event will be held from 8th to 18th February 2022 in Faisalabad.
Director of High Performance Nadeem Khan said: “For the 2021-22 age-group cricket season, each Cricket Association can field two U16 and U19 fields, so we can increase the pool of players at grassroots level. More opportunities for the next generation of cricketers.
“This strategy has enabled Cricket Associations to showcase their talent in national tournaments with the best players with the aim of revitalizing clubs, schools and universities in their jurisdictions.

“The U16 and U19 competitions will offer players the same conditions as senior level cricket, which will help them develop as professional cricketers.”
The 2021-22 season will begin on September 15 with the eight-day Cricket Association T20 tournament, where six Cricket Association XI teams will play in Quetta for the shortest format.
The National T20 will be held from September 25 to October 13, featuring players from the country’s shortest format. The eighteenth round of the tournament will be played in Multan, while the remaining 15 matches, including two semi-finals and the final, will be played in Lahore.

The Quaid-e-Azam Trophy, the crown jewel of Pakistan’s domestic events, begins on October 20. The first leg of the 10-match league will be played in Multan, Faisalabad and Lahore. The event will be moved to Karachi
