Old Indian Cricket Players Names And Photos

The BCCI recently concluded its review session and announced that the discussion around it is mainly focused on the 2023 ODI World Cup. So that makes them better equipped for the marquee event.
Most Popular Indian Cricketers In 2023
This is a step in the right direction for the Indian team, which has tried several combinations in various bilateral series. So they feel confused to find the right combination for the marquee event. Just to review, India used 35 players in 2021 and 31 players in 2022 for T20I with focus on T20 World Cup.
But in 2023, the Indian team will adopt a different strategy. It is believed that the Indian team will use only 20 players who will form the core of the Indian team ahead of the 2023 ODI World Cup. This is a group that plays in rotation before the final 15-man squad for the 2023 ODI World Cup is selected.
So, who are these players who will form the core of the 2023 World Cup? Well, BCCI has not officially announced the names of these players, but if we want to analyze the current players participating in the competition, we can confirm the list. So, in this article, we take a look at the top 20 key players predicted for the Indian team for the ODI World Cup 2023.

Team India has selected captain Rohit Sharma, Ishan Kishan and Shubman Gill as first choice for the current ODI series against Sri Lanka. By dropping Shikhar Dhawan, India seem to have decided to move on from the Indian team’s most successful player in the ICC ODI tournament.
Apart from these three, India can also bring KL Rahul or Rishabh Pant to open in ODIs. Thus eliminating the need to play an additional opener. Most likely, the Indian team will continue with these three matches and will not add any new players to the squad. Barring serious injury, of course.
India currently have 5 good options in the form of KL Rahul, Rishabh Pant, Shreyas Iyer, Suryakumar Yadav and Virat Kohli. It is a strong middle order, but only three out of five will play in the final 11 ODIs.
Only Rishabh Patt has not been selected for the current ODI series against Sri Lanka. Of course, it’s not because of bad form, but he had knee problems before the big crash. So, most likely, India will replace these 5 players to see what their final middle order looks like.
Indian Cricket Players Salary List 2023
Team India’s all-rounders currently look good in the order of Akshar Patel, Hardik Pandya, Ravindra Jadeja and Washington. He is a balanced all-rounder with a hearty pace all-rounder and Ravindra Jadeja and Washington are fine spin bowling all-rounders.
Apart from these three, India have Akshar Patel as Ravindra Jadeja’s backup. Besides Jadeja, who is recovering from an injury, three other players are also part of the current ODI squad against Sri Lanka. So, we have to see the rotation of these four in the upcoming ODI series before selecting the final Indian team.
India have selected Kuldeep Yadav and Yuzvendra Chahal as the first two spinners for the ODI series against Sri Lanka. Ideally, another spinner would be a great addition, but in place of Washington Sundar, India can continue with these two as their core.
Finally, speaking of pacers, this is an area that is more difficult to pick. If we talk about the primary fast bowlers of the Indian team, they are Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammad Shami and Mohammad Siraj. These three can be present in powerplay, middle over and death over. Thus making them a lethal combination for ODIs

But if we talk about their backup, we have Arshdeep Singh and Umran Malik. Both are also part of the current ODI series against Sri Lanka and India will continue with them in the upcoming ODI series. However, India have three options for the final fast bowler in the form of Deepak Chahar, Shardul Thakur and the popular Krishna.
It is difficult to choose one of these three. Deepak Four is more experienced and adds depth to the batting, but is injured. Shardwell has played a lot of ODIs in 2021 and 2022 and will add to the batting depth as well. But, out of the three, the famous Krisha seems to be the most preferred speedster.
The tall bowler is currently sidelined with an injury but has been very good in ODIs for the Indian team. He has taken 25 wickets in Rammel 14 ODIs at a good average of 23.9 and a good economy rate of 5.3. It seems that after Prasad’s recovery, he should return to the team as a player of the Indian team.

Bowlers: Arshdeep Singh, Jasprit Bumrah, Kuldeep Yadav, Mohammad Shami, Mohammad Siraj, Prasid Krishna, Imran Malik and Yuzendra Chahal.
