Simply put, the match is a three-way series between the India Maharajas, Asia Lions and World Giants with a slight twist. While normally the top two teams play in the finals of a triangular series, in LLC 2023 the first team goes directly to the finals. The remaining two teams will participate in the eliminator and advance to the finals.
Ex-Indian batsman Gautam Gambhir, former Pakistan captain Shahid Afridi and former Australian captain Aaron Finch will lead these three teams. According to LLC’s announcement, the four teams will play each other twice in the 12-game league stage. There will also be a four-day break between games to give retired hitters a much-needed breather.
The Gujarat Giants, led by former Indian cricketer Virender Sehwag, kick off the second edition of Legends League Cricket featuring retired cricketers when they face India Capital at Eden Gardens in Kolkata on 17 September. The India Capitals team will be led by former Indian batsman Gautham Gambhir.

The organizers of Legends League Cricket have announced the second match schedule for September 18th, when Harbhajan Singh’s Manipal Tigers take on Irfan Pathan’s Bhilwara Kings for an opening match between Gujarat Giants and India Capitals.
