While playing amid the COVID-19 pandemic, teams have already introduced their respective bio-bubbles to ensure optimal safety for players, support staff and officials.

At the moment, there is no room for fans inside the stadiums. While former India captain and BCCI president Sourav Ganguly has hinted that he is playing a waiting game, the recent spike in COVID-19 cases across the country does not give promising signs as to which crowds will watch the IPL 2021 matches live.

As for the 14th season, this will be the first season played in India when no team plays a league match at home. The IPL 2021 matches have been arranged in such a way that no team gets home advantage, especially with the limited venue concept to ensure minimum displacement due to the pandemic.

Talking about most IPL titles for a franchise, the Indians extended their lead over Chennai Super Kings and other franchises by winning their fifth title last season. After winning the IPL title for the first time in 2013, the Indians have won five titles in eight seasons for a stellar record in the biggest T20 league.

The Super Kings’ prowess in the Indian Premier League (IPL) can be judged by the fact that they have qualified for the playoffs in each of the first 12 seasons of the tournament.

Delhi Capitals, Royal Challengers Bangalore and Punjab Kings are the only franchises that have played in the tournament since its inaugural season in 2008 but have not lifted the trophy even once.
