BCCI has just announced the official schedule of the famous 2023 T20 league and IPL league matches. The 16th IPL season starts on March 31st. Four-time champions Chennai Super Kings take on defending champions Gujarat Titans on opening night in Ahmedabad.
70 league games will be played through May 21, with playoff schedules yet to be announced. In the league phase, all ten franchises will play seven home and seven away games and the games will be played at a total of twelve venues. Evening games start at 7:30pm IST, afternoon games start at 3:30pm.
The first home game for CSK will be on April 3 against Lucknow Supergiant. The team, including captain MS Dhoni, will return to Chepauk Stadium after 2019. Also, the 1000th game in IPL history on April 8th will be the first game between rivals CSK and Mumbai Indians in IPL 2023.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced the schedule for the 16th edition of the T20 league on Friday (17 February). The tournament begins on March 31, 2023 with a match between the defending champions Gujarat Titans and Chennai Super Kings. Meanwhile, the summit battle will take place on May 28th.
The opening game will be followed by a doubles game on April 1 as the Punjab Kings take on the Kolkata Knight Riders while the Lucknow Supergiants and the Delhi Capitals play the first game of the day. Sunrisers Hyderabad will meet Rajasthan Royals in their first game of the season on April 2nd and on the same day Royal Challengers Bangalore will meet Mumbai Indians in their first game of the season.
