Earlier, PBKS opted to bat first and scored 179 for seven on a slow surface, with Shikhar Dhawan scoring another innings with 57 off 47 balls. KKR spinner Varun Chakraborty took three wickets for just 26 runs in four overs. With this win, KKR has reached the fifth position in the points table.

KKR have moved up to the fifth position in the points table with 10 points after their last-ball win against PBKS. The result makes the race for the playoffs interesting as the five mid-table teams currently share the number of points (10).

At the top of the points table, Gujarat Titans (GT) are leading with 16 points, while Chennai Super Kings (CSK) are second, with GT trailing by three points. Third-placed Lucknow Super Giants have a one point (11) lead over the rest of the table.

Rinku Singh from KKR has reached the 10th position with 337 runs, while PBKS skipper Shikhar Dhawan is at the ninth position with 349 runs. No other changes have been made to the list.

The Orange Cap, awarded to the highest run-scorer in the tournament, is currently held by Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) captain Faf du Plessis, who has scored 511 runs in 10 innings. In second position is Rajasthan Royals’ young opener Yashasvi Jaiswal who has scored 477 runs at a strike rate of 160.60.

After his impressive spell of 3/26 against PBKS today, Varun Chakraborty from KKR has taken 17 wickets in 11 overs to move up to the fifth position in this season’s wickets list. Meanwhile, Gujarat Titans (GT) fast bowler Ohed Shai currently holds the Purple Cap, having taken 17 wickets this season.
