This game is a tribute to one of my favorite childhood games, Hand Cricket. I have been playing this game for more than a decade, and I am pretty sure everyone in the Indian subcontinent must have heard or played this game at least once. Playing this game individually requires a lot of coordination and quick mental math to keep track of runs and wickets, and did I mention it’s fun to play? So to bring back those childhood memories I created Hand Cricket App. This game is just like you used to play it, but even better! With the Hand Cricket app, you can do a lot more than just track your scores. You can find your strike rate, average, runs to win, coins, your rank and many more. You also have the opportunity to be on the highly coveted Top 50 ranking. You can even share your results, stats and your name on the rankings with your friends! Compared to the way people used to play this game with their fingers, I redefined the way they now play this game with their fingers. ,

Hand Cricket: Multiplayer

It was a challenge to play this game because your opponent, the computer, is not as smart as you. A computer can see the pattern of your numbers, but it cannot guess which number you are going to enter. For this reason, a coin system was introduced so that users would avoid having the same high score numbers, such as 5 and 6, to win the game. The currency system allowed us to penalize users for repeatedly entering the same score number. However, the game also rewards users with more points for matching the points scored during batting and bowling. From playing in real life to playing on your phone, there will be a big difference because of the lack of human element. But at the same time, users will also experience a new innovative way to play the same old game. I hope the fun continues and you enjoy playing on the app as much as you used to play with your friends.

If you are not familiar with cricket or hand cricket, I highly recommend that you take a look at the cricket and hand cricket rules at the bottom of this page. Come on, I’m waiting. Now that you’ve read about the rules (if you haven’t already, read them) and know everything about wickets, overs and runs, let’s get started. Ok, ok for those who are too lazy, let me explain in brief.

Well, your first step should be to open the app 🙂 and you will be presented with a home page with a “Create Account” button and a “Game” button. Tap the “Create Account” button and create or log in to your account. I highly recommend signing up so you can compete with others for the top rank in the leaderboard and view your stats. Once you’ve signed up, you’ll be taken to a page with all your game options.

On this page, you can see your ranking and top coins. Below that, you will see a wicket option (i.e. live) and an over option (i.e. limited factor). If you are completely new to it, start with 1 wicket and 1 over as the setting. You can also select wickets of up to 10 more overs for ‘Test’.

Now it’s time to decide who will score (i.e. bat) first. Tap on the coin to make the coin toss, or alternatively shake your phone to make the coin toss. The computer will randomly generate a bat or ball. If a club appears, you bat first (meaning you score first) and if a ball appears, you pitch first.

Now you will see an option to target. This option is only for scoring runs. This means you don’t have to bowl, and you can just slide. It is very important to note that you will not be awarded any coins if you play this way, so you should only use them for practice. Now all that remains is to click on the game button or scroll to the right.

Congratulations! You have reached game mode. Finally! Watch the screen carefully. There are six buttons at the bottom. The number of fingers on the button shows the number of points you get. Here an inch represents 6 runs. Above these buttons you will also see a ‘Computer’ and a ‘Result’. The ‘Computer’ field tells you what the computer ran and the ‘Result’ field tells you the result. Now I will give you an example to explain clearly

Let’s say you took 1 wicket and 1 over on the previous page. You shook your phone and the coin bounced and landed on a bat. This means you have to score first. You have clicked on the play button and now you are on the play screen. Go ahead and click on 5 (🤚). If the computer scored anything other than a 5 as a 1 (☝️), you scored a 5 which will be displayed in the “Results” area. Your score is now “5-0” on the scoreboard. 5 represents the runs scored, and 0 represents the number of wickets lost. Let’s say you put 6 (👍) and the computer put 2 (✌️), so you scored 6 more runs. Now your total score on the score board is 11-0 and you have played 0.2 overs out of 1 over. Remember there are 6 balls in a top, so you have 4 more balls. Suppose you put ☝️ and the computer also put ☝️. You lose your wicket as both bowl the same number. Now, since you were playing only 1 wicket game, you have lost all your wickets and your turn to score runs is over. Now on the play screen you can see that there is a goal of 12 on the screen (your score +1). This is the number of races the computer needs to win. So now, it’s your time to bowl and it’s the computer’s time to bat. computer randomly plays 1, 1, 1, 2, 4
