In the early hours of December 19, 2006, Virat Kohli’s father, Mr. Prem Kohli, died of a heart attack at the age of 54. At the same time, Kohli was playing the Ranji Trophy against Karnataka. He was at bat at 40 overnight. In a surprise for his teammates, Kohli came back and scored 90 to save the Delhi side from a call. He also received the title “Man of the match”.
