Cricket Match Schedule – The Pakistan Cricket Board today announced the schedule for the 2021-22 domestic cricket season, which will host 10 tournaments consisting of 266 matches. In the 2020-21 season, BPA organized 220 matches across nine tournaments to become the only cricket board to offer a full domestic schedule.
The domestic matches in the 2021-22 season are separate from the international matches at home against New Zealand, England, West Indies and Australia and the HBL Pakistan Super League, which will be played from September 2021 to March 2022.

The ongoing two-day CCA tournament, which begins on July 16 and ends on August 22, and the CCA U19 tournament, which begins on September 1, have not been added to the 2021-22 domestic fixtures. Additional games have been added to road cricket in the upcoming domestic round, where the BPA has allowed six Cricket Associations to field two teams each in the U16 and U19 competitions.

“This strategy is in line with the Cricket Association’s plan to revitalize club, school and university cricket in their territories, with the best players having the opportunity to showcase their talents in national competitions.

The 2021-22 season will begin with the eight-day Cricket Association T20 tournament on September 15, where the six second XI teams of the Cricket Association will compete in the shortest format of the game in Quetta.

The national T20 tournament, featuring the country’s best players in the shortest format, will be held from September 25 to October 13. 18 matches of the first round will be played in Multan and the remaining 15 matches, including two semi-finals and the final, will be played in Lahore.
The Quaid-e-Azam Trophy, the crown jewel of Pakistan’s domestic competition, begins on October 20. The first half of the 10-round league will be held in Multan, Faizabad and Lahore. The event will then move to Karachi, where it will conclude with the five-day final from December 29.
The Association Cricket League’s two-over three-day tournament for Second XI will be held from September 28 to November 14, while the Cricket Association’s 50-over single league tournament for Second XI will be held from November 19 to 27. The curtain will come down on the 2021-22 season in Lahore on March 30, 2022 with the final match of the Pakistan Cup one-day tournament on February 25, which will be played in a two-league format. The other two locations are Faizabad and Multan.
