Steve Smith received the highest honor of an Australian man after casting 171 votes to become his fourth Allan Border Medal winner. Smith finished ahead of Travis Head (144 votes) and David Warner (141 votes), with Marnus Labuschagne and Usman Khawaja finishing in the top five.

Smith, 33, also won in 2015, 2018 and 2021, joining Ricky Ponting and Michael Clarke as the sole winners. No one has won five AB Medals since its inception in 2000.
