Ipl 2023 Match Schedule

Rohit Sharma’s Mumbai Indians and MS Dhoni’s Chennai Super Kings, the two most successful IPL teams, are the top two seeds • BCCI

The 2022 IPL will seed its 10 teams and place them in two “virtual” teams during the league phase of the tournament. The ranking is given on the basis of how many times the team wins the IPL or reaches the finals. Group A will be led by five-time champions Mumbai Indians, while four-time champions Chennai Super Kings will lead Group B along with Group 2. other teams in Group A respectively. Kolkata Knight Riders, Rajasthan Royals, Delhi Capitals and Lucknow Super Giants. Group B consists of Sunrisers Hyderabad, Royal Challengers Bangalore, Punjab Kings and Gujarat Titans in that order.

In the new format on Friday, the IPL said in a release that the 10 teams will play a total of 14 games – 7 home games and 7 away games – during a league season which has now increased to 70 games. Ten of the 14 matches will be home and away matches against the other four teams in the group, as well as two matches with teams in the other team’s respective row (arranged by seed). For example, Mumbai will play four other teams in Group A – Knight Riders, Royals, Capitals and Super Giants – and Super Kings from Group B twice. They will play the rest of the other teams once (for a total of 14 matches) – these games will be home and away. Home and away form will not be relevant this season as the IPL has decided to restrict the league to four venues in two cities: Mumbai and Pune. While Mumbai will host most of the 55 matches, the Maharashtra Cricket Association (MCA) Stadium on the outskirts of Pune will host 15 league matches.

Each team will play four times each at Wankhede Stadium and DY Patil Sports Academy and three times each at Brabourne Stadium and MCA Stadium. While the IPL will end and the schedule will be announced in early March, it remains to be seen whether Mumbai will get any matches on their grounds in the Wankhede.2011 format, which has been modified to match the format. It was used in 2011 when 10 teams first appeared. The teams are divided into 70 loose teams and 4 qualifiers and all teams are in the standings. Each team played 14 matches in the league stage. Each team plays the other 4 teams in its group home and away (eight matches), the other four teams from the other group once (four games, either indoors or away) and the remaining two teams from the other group twice. Both inside and outside the ground. The random draw determines the composition of the team as well as who plays once or twice on the team. For 2022, the IPL has confirmed that the tournament will be played between March 26 and May 29. It will start 10 days after India’s home test. The series against Sri Lanka is about to end. This means that the IPL will not follow the recommendations of the RM Lodha Committee, which stated that a gap of two weeks is mandatory between any international series/match played by India and the IPL.
