The sound system was also upgraded and the old air conditioning system was replaced. During the first decade of its existence, the casino only showed English films, but in the mid-1950s it also began to show films in Tamil. In 1971 they returned to showing only English films. It was run by Firoz and his younger brothers Minu and Farok. The younger brother got the theater when the family decided to split the business and assets.
