
ICC Women Cricket World Cup – The 2022 ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup was the twelfth Women’s Cricket World Cup, held in New Zealand in March and April 2022.
It was originally scheduled for February 6-March 7, 2021, but was moved a year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

On 15 December 2021, the International Cricket Council (ICC) announced that the tournament would start on 4 March 2022, with the final scheduled for 3 April 2022.

Australia was the first team to reach the semi-finals after winning the first five matches of the tournament.
South Africa became the second team to reach the semi-finals, winning four of their first six group matches and picking up a point from a goalless encounter with the West Indies.
ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2023: How The Teams Qualified
The remaining two semi-final places were determined based on the results of the two final matches of the tournament. In the first match, Gland beat Bangladesh by 100 runs to secure their place in the play-offs.
The result meant that India were eliminated and West Indies finished last in the semi-finals.
On the eve of the first semi-final match, both teams were without key players in their squads. Australia’s Ellyse Perry was ruled out of the match with back spasms, which also led to Australia’s final group game against Bangladesh.
In the West Indies, their leg-spinner Affy Fletcher has missed the match after testing positive for COVID-19.
Bcci Set To Bid For 2025 Icc Women’s Cricket World Cup
Australia won the match by 157 runs, with Alyssa Healy and Rachel Haynes putting on 216 runs for the first wicket, including a century from Healy.
Dani Wyatt scored a century and Sophie Ecclestone took five to help the defending champions into the final.
In the final of the tournament, Australia beat Gland by 71 runs to win their seventh World Cup.
Alyssa Healy was the competition’s top scorer with 509 points and was named player of the tournament.
Every Icc Women’s Cricket World Cup 2022 Squad
On 27 November 2021, the ICC announced that the 2021 Women’s Cricket World Cup qualifiers were canceled due to concerns over the new strain of COVID and travel restrictions.
Under the ICC playing conditions, the remaining three qualifying spots were based on team rankings, so Bangladesh, Pakistan and West Indies qualified for the 2022 Women’s Cricket World Cup.
On 11 March 2020, the ICC announced six venues for the 2022 FIFA World Cup. Ed Park will host the final. The other five venues used in the league stage and semi-finals were Hagley Oval, Sedan Park, Bay Oval, University Oval and Basin Reserve.
On 24 February 2022, the ICC updated its playing conditions for the tournament, allowing matches to be played with only nine players during the team’s COVID-19 outbreak.

Along with the twelve judges, Gary Baxter, Shandre Fritz and GS Lakshmi were also appointed as referees for the match.
On 1 April 2022, the ICC confirmed the umpires for the final, with Lor Agbag and Kim Cotton appointed as on-field umpires.
The opening match was originally scheduled to be played at Bay Oval, Mount Maunganui, the two semi-finals at Sedan Park, Hamilton and Bay Oval, Mount Maunganui, and the final at Ed Park, Auckland.
However, on 15 December 2020, the ICC announced that the two semi-finals would be played at Hagley Oval and Basin Reserve.

Before the World Cup, the participating countries competed in eight preparatory matches, which were played from February 27 to March 2, 2022. These matches did not have Wom’s One Day International (WODI) or List A status.
