Each match has high stakes, with the teams vying for two spots at the 2023 FIFA World Cup in India, giving them nine guaranteed matches in ODI cricket’s global showpiece.

10 teams participating in the selection were divided into two groups of five. Hosts Zimbabwe, West Indies, Netherlands, Nepal and USA form Group A, while Sri Lanka, Ireland, Scotland, Oman and United Arab Emirates form Group B.

Each group plays the other teams in the group once, and the top three teams from each group advance to the Super Six stage. In the Super Sixth, they did not meet any teams in the group stage.

All points earned in the group stage will go into the Super Six, except for those teams that fail to advance to the Super Six. Both finalists will advance to the 2023 FIFA World Cup.
