Sachin Tendulkar, who was India’s top scorer in the tournament, wished his teammates luck and shared the sad news that he is in hospital “on medical advice” after being diagnosed with COVID-19. In a touching moment, Pakistan great Wasim Akram urged him to “hit COVID-19 for six!”
Thank you for your wishes and prayers. As an abundance of caution, according to the doctor’s advice, I was hospitalized. I hope to be back home in a few days. Take care everyone and be safe. Best wishes to all Indians and my team mates on the 10th anniversary of our World Cup win 🇮🇳. — Sachin Tendulkar (@sachin_rt) April 2, 2021

India will decide their squad for the World Test Championship (WTC) final only after evaluating the Oval pitch, captain Rohit Sharma said, as there is still uncertainty over whether Ravichandran Ashwin will play against Australia.
India are yet to decide whether to field second spinner Ashwin with all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja in the squad ahead of the June 7-11 match.

“We’ll wait until tomorrow because one thing I’ve seen here, the field actually changes every day.”
“Today looks like this, tomorrow might be a little different, who knows?” So the message to the boys was very clear. All 15 must be ready to play at any moment.”
India also reached the inaugural WTC final in 2021 when New Zealand beat Virat Kohli’s side in a rain-affected match in Southampton.

Rohit has since replaced Kohli in the saddle and the Indian skipper said he had spoken to the players about the mistakes made in the previous final.

“It’s a good challenge and we know exactly what went wrong for us in the last championship final, so we hope we don’t repeat such things,” Rohit said.
India’s last ICC title came a decade ago in the 2013 Champions Trophy, but Rohit said there was no point dwelling on past disappointments.
“Everyone wants to move the team forward. Everyone wants to win the title. Every captain wants to win championships and I am no different. The next five days will be important for us. I want to focus on what’s on our minds. Rohit said.
“As a team, we know what we won and when we last won. “There’s no point thinking about it and putting pressure on it, we just want to focus on the game.”

It may sound harsh, but 12 months apart, India’s two T20 World Cups were decided by ten wickets. After a detailed sifting, we list five reasons why India failed to win the T20 World Cup.
India have been eliminated from the T20 World Cup after a crushing defeat to England in the semi-finals. And while that may sound harsh, the fact remains that India’s two World Cups, 12 months apart, have been decided by 10-wicket defeats. After India crashed out of last year’s World Cup in the UAE, it was thought that with a new change of wicketkeeper and the so-called ‘new batting model’, India would change its approach in T20 cricket and a year later in the India T20. cricket is still in the same routine. Ravi Shastri is gone and Virat Kohli has given up the captaincy, but if you want to win against Pakistan in India’s first Super-12 game, the holes are very much intact.

India have failed to win an ICC tournament for the seventh time in nine years, despite coming close again… The dreaded ‘C’ word that has become synonymous with South Africa over the years is now hitting hard against the men in blue, who are back in the knockout race. It will be a tough pill to swallow for a team that has a back-to-back streak at home and some memorable wins on the road. While some of these may be due to tactical errors, most of them are due to concerns that surfaced when it mattered most. Who were they? After a detailed sifting, we have listed five reasons why India failed to win the T20 World Cup.
Gov Money Times Gus India Won The T20 World Cup?
Believe it or not… Yuzvendra Chahal is India’s No. 1 limited overs bowler with 21 wickets in 19 matches, but keeping him on the bench in front of R Ashwin is a move only the team management can explain. When India left Shahal out of the T20 World Cup squad last year, many thought they would learn from their mistake, but that was not the case. In a tournament where Pakistan’s Shadab Khan and England’s Adil Rashid constantly troubled the batsmen with their wrist spin, Chahal was not given a single game. Why? We may never know. But if anything, the tactical call was made on the belief that Ashwin could help you run – which he did, hitting winning runs against Pakistan and hitting sixes and fours.
