Earlier, PBKS opted to strike first and went 179 for seven on light surface as Shikhar Dhavan scored over fifty more innings of 57 on 47 balls. KKR off-spinner Varun Chakravarthi picked up three wickets and gave up just 26 runs in his four overs quota. With this win, KKR moved up to fifth in the table.
After the last ball won against PBKS, KKR moved up to fifth position in the table with 10 points. This result made the race for the playoffs interesting since the five idlers in the classification currently share the same number of points (10).

At the top of the standings, Gujarat Titans (GT) lead the group with 16 points, while Chennai Super Kings (CSK) sit in second place, three points behind GT. Third-placed team Lucknow Super Giants are one point ahead (11) of the other teams in the draw.
KKR’s Rinku Singh moved up to 10th position in the ost-run getters list with 337 points, while PBKS captain Shikhar Dhavan sits ninth with 349 points. There were no other changes to the list.
The orange cap, which is awarded to the tournament’s top scorer, is currently held by Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) captain Faf du Plessis, who has scored 511 points in 10 matches. Rajasthan Royals youngster Yashashvi Jaiswal ranks second with 477 runs at a rate of 160.60.
After his impressive 3/26 performance against PBKS today, KKR’s Varun Chakravarthi moved up to fifth position on the list of eight wickets taken this season with 17 wickets in 11 matches. Meanwhile, Gujarat Titans (GT) point guard ohaed Shai currently holds the Purple Cap, having won 17 wickets this season.
