Although India and Australia have been playing a Test series since 1947, the series officially began in 1996 when Australia toured India for a Test match. Since then it has been held every 2-3 years either in India or Australia.
Since 1947, both Australia and India have hosted Test series 14 times each (28 series in total). Australia won 12 times, India 11 times and the series was tied five times. The complete India-Australia Test Series Table is summarized below.

He scored tons of runs in the process. Rishabh Pant and Tim Paine showed some nice moments, Nathan Lyon vs Pujara & Pant were mesmerizing. Bumrah’s slower delivery to dismiss Shaun Marsh will forever be etched in the memory. But to sum it up, it was Kohli’s captaincy and the fast bowling revolution that was the key to India’s success. Australia have been without the services of Warner & Smith as they try to recover from the ball-tampering scandal, but that doesn’t take anything away from India. statistically

Bgt: Cricket’s Big Fight
Australia started with a massive win and hopes of winning the series in India. Pujara scored another double century and some twenty fifties. It’s starting to become a pattern, isn’t it? Steve Smith with scores of 109, 178, 111 was the best but Ravis (Ashwin & Jadeja) were too hot to handle. Other players also played decent roles. Nathan Lyon went eight for and Steve O’Keefe secured his first win with a 6 iron. KL Rahul with fifties, Matt Renshaw, Shaun Marsh, Rahane, Wade also contributed to what was a competitive series. statistically

A short but sweet series. The Mohali test is an all-time classic. VVS Laxman, back spasms and a successful lower order fighter. In the second Test, Tendulkar continued his dream revival year with 214 and 53*. In the second innings, Rahul Dravid should have been dropped from the number 3 position to someone else. Someone else turned out to be Cheteshwar Pujara, who scored a counter-attack 72. Cheteshwar Pujara — Australians in counter-attack since 2010. Stats
