This card game adaptation will be developed by Century: Eastern Wonders and Foundations of Rome designer Emerson Matsuchi. According to Matsuchi, Persona 5: The Royal Card Game will allow players to “take the role of their favorite Phantom Thieves and fight to change the world in this cooperative card-based strategy game.” Pandasaurus Games co-owner Nathan McNair also revealed that the tabletop will feature all the exciting locations in the game, including the palace.
We can’t wait for the Palace, the Velvet Room, and the universe of Persona 5 Royal to hit tabletops everywhere in 2023.
Publisher Pandasaurus Games is a US-based board game company that has worked on titles such as “Dinosaur Island”, “The Mind” and “Machikoro”. Mr. Emerson Matsuchi worked as the designer of “Persona 5 Royal Card Game”. Mr. Matsuchi has worked on “Specter Ops” and “Reef” so far. Details will be announced soon. This lineup should have some nice and stylish looking cards, especially if you follow turn-based games (pardon the pun).
In the meantime, you can catch Persona 5 Royal on October 21st on consoles and PC. Those who pre-order the physical 1 More Edition will also receive some cosmetics and frame art on launch day.
